Spring is here and that means one thing... Events! Sure Destin is known for it's world class beaches. But there's a lot of events around the Emerald Coast that will entice your taste buds, excite the senses, and maybe even make you sweat a little. Here are some of our highlights.

Foodie Favorites

March 11, 2017 - Taco's and Tequila Fest. 
Now in it's 4th year, this event makes for one heck of an early afternoon. From 1 to 5pm you'll be able to sample 10 different tequila's while gnoshing on a wide variety of fish, shrimp, beef and other latin variety taco creations. March 9-12, 2017 - 30a Wine Festival
Hope you got your tickets early. This 4 day event sells out early. But it's well worth it. The event kicks of Thursday night with a dinner at Caliza's Restaruant, followed by Beer, Burbon and Butts on Friday. Then make way for Saturday wine seminars and a grand tasting that will blow you away. And, just because you can, sleep in on Sunday. But don't be late for Rose and Croquet. April 20-23, 2017 - Sandestin Wine Festival
Now in it's 30th year, this is one of the most popular events of the Spring. Sample over 500 wines from national and international vintners. Sprinkle in food tents and live music and you'll have nearly reached nirvana. More info at - http://www.sandestinwinefestival.com/

April 27-30, 2017 - South Walton Food and Wine Festival 
This 3 day event is pretty much everything you could ask for if you like to eat great food and drink exceptional wine. Celebrity chefs, world reknowned vintners, and a whole lot more. Get your tickets early. It usually sells out. More at - https://sowalwine.com/ 

Outdoor Fun

March 24 to May 8 - Cobia World Championships 
If you like fishing, this is fishing at a whole different level. Cobia are a seasonal fish make their way across the Gulf of Mexico as soon the water starts to warm up in spring. That's when you'll find fishermen and boats from all over the country competing to haul in the biggest and best cobia. More info - http://cobiaworldchampionships.com/ 

March 18, 2017 - 17th Annual Run with the Dogs 5k Run/Walk
Even if you can't bring your dog to the beach you will want to run with our local furry friends.  The run is open to all and includes a "stroller" division for parents with young ones. More at - http://www.cityofdestin.com/103/CommunityFamily-Events

March 25, 2017 - Bugs Bunny at the Symphony

April 8, 2017 - Jersey,  A Bruce Springsteen Tribute Band

April 13, 2017 - One Night of Queen- Gary Mullen and The Works
